New Myspace has finally opened up to the public after a period of invite-only.

The site has been accessible since last Friday for anyone who registered interest, when the redesign was first announced back in September 2012.

Justin Timberlake, who took the ownership stake of Myspace in 2011, caught the attention of the world’s media with a video highlighting some of the changes in the redesign.

New Myspace features a modern design, something that was drastically needed as the ‘old’ Myspace was left standing as other networks developed for the future.

The site is navigated horizontally with a heavy use of images. As with the original Myspace, music is still a key focus with various publications comparing the site to Spotify.
